I have had a canon powershot A460 camera for a few years now and it was great, no problems at all. Until a few days ago suddenly every picture or movie I took were blurry. Yet when I looked through pictures taken before that date they still look as crisp and as clear as ever! What is probably my problem and how can I fix it?!
If every single picture is now blurry, and it started on a specific date, it probably means it’s time for a new camera. Sounds like the focus mechanism has stopped working, or perhaps the lens got a tap and something is mis-aligned now. Clean the lens gently, and see if that helps, but the A460 is a couple of years old, (that’s like 84 in dog years) and was a simple P&S anyway. Not worth having it looked at, much less repaired. It would cost more to fix than to replace. The good news is consumer P&S cameras have improved even more since the A460 was new, in terms of features and shutter lag especially.

Check the lens, to see if they’re clean. Check the inner lens too, sometimes mold can sprout out if you have kept it in a bad location.
If you have photographer friends, try a few of their attachments to see if it helps. Also some mechanism might have broken inside, so on that note, you can take it to a specialist.

I’m not sure if your camera is an SLR or not, but have you tried changing the apperture if possible.
When taking photos your shutter may be open for a length of time which makes it difficult for your photos to be crisp, without using a tripod etc For me if the shutter is open for any more than 1/30th of a second (e.g. 1/15th, 1/8th) I can’t take a perfectly crisp photo without a tripod.
Why don’t you balance you camera on something and see if it improves of any, if not I’d go into a camera shop and ask them to look at it
