this one makes me … this one makes me cry….im a Filipino, muslim by roots, but Misora Hibari’s songs inspires me. I just discovered here lately. Its a pity that she is no longer with us. I will always keep her in my heart forever. Now, I spent listening to her everyday than I used too. I don’t understand the language but it breaks my heart listening to her.. Truly, music is the language of the soul. Thanks for the music—very astounding– very inspirational.
I am a Mexican, I … I am a Mexican, I do not know what the song is saying, but I will say it is a very very nice song. I can see why it is one of Japan’s Top songs of all time. I did research on Misora Hibari and it says this was one of her last songs before she died.
I found an album of … I found an album of hers in a thrift store in Salt Lake City, Utah in 1983. She opened my ears to Japanese musical styles which I now love very, very much. Thank you so much Misora Hibari.
What an awful … What an awful comment. Not only for Mrs. Hibari but also for a lot of innocent people who were killed in Hiroshima. Learn this: governments start wars and regular people are poors saps who get killed because of them. And every government will tell his soldiers that they’re fighting on the right side. War is always wrong! I feel sorry for all innocent people that get killed, no matter from which country they are!
Kawa no Nagare no … Kawa no Nagare no you ni
it means in english “Like the stream of the river”
I love this song, makes me cry everytime I listen to it.
Listen to her “Ave … Listen to her “Ave Maria” done while she was probably in her thirties. Her voice there is like that of an angel. The great voice did not seem to hold up well as she was in her forties or fifties when she died an early death from a major illness. It was the memories of her younger voice that drew the audiences.
