What are the steps to creating a children’s picture book?

For Language Arts I have to write a persuasive picture book. My audience would most likely be preschoolers to about kindergartners, so I decided to do one about cleaning your room or something else that would be very important for young children to learn. What are some of the steps to make it easier for me to write?

Also, what are some other topics I could use? Thanks for your help!

You can create your own own one by using the book templates and cliparts online on bookemon.com for either with children’s artwork, school projects and photos or children stories to share with family and friends.
Once satisfied with the creations, you can publish your books in quality bookstore soft cover and hardcover professional prints.
You can purchase your own books in bookstore quality prints or offered them for sale to the public at the Bookemon Store but you don’t have to.
Everyone can read or view your work by the visiting the book profile link you sent to them.
