What is a good backdrop for a Christmas Party picture taking area?

It’s at a house, most likely against a maroon wall.

I was thinking wrapping paper, but I could just see that turning into a flash overload.

Please help!!!

Thanks!!!

You can always go with the traditional shot in front of the Christmas tree or fire place. Another options would be red seamless paper. Cost for this is about $40. I believe Mpix is also renting scenic background for about $70 now. Check out their website and see if there is anything you would be interested in.
The problem with wrapping paper is that you may see the seems. Also wrapping paper can be highly reflective. You dont want to see either the flash reflecting off the paper or your reflection in it.
