I was at the St. Louis show. Waits didn’t play any of his 70′s jazzy music, but it didn’t matter. He was great anyway, especially on “Lie to Me” and “Make it Rain,” putting a lot into his performance, and was backed up by very good musicians. The “Day After tomorrow” sticks out too. Yeah, I would have liked to have heard “Christmas Card” or “Invitation to The Blues” which he’s played in other tour stops, but will have to wait until he plays somewhere else again, hopefully in California.

SOmehow..I managed to be front row center…Oh yeah… I paid $1500. on ebay to sit there. Worth every penny. SOme serious that close. Don’t forget, folks, to set your digtal movies camera at it’s darkest, most underexposed setting to help get the right exposure for this kind of hot spot lighting.
