what is best camera for picture quality i want to turn into posters?

Posted by admin on March 4th, 2010 and filed under picture posters | 3 Comments »

You want a photo enlargement that is poster size? Convincing photo printing requires 100 pixels per inch. A 24×36 enlargement then is 2400 x 3600 pixels. However many digital cameras are 4:3 aspect ratio so you will need 2700 x 3600 pixels for full width, or about 10 Megapixel (non-interpolated). That is only if the original is perfectly framed, no cropping needed.

Traditionally, professional photographers use medium or large format film cameras for this purpose. Medium format is 2 inch film, various aspect ratios are available. However 35mm film can be scanned with good equipment at 2400 x 3600 pixels resolution.

You need to consider how the enlargement will be created. If it is to be computer printed, then all options are available. You need to confirm what your lab will need in order to make the print from film.

When i think of posters, it is as commercial advertising. In this case, the photo content is really a background element, and cropping is more critical issue than pixel count. Also printing will be by lithography which has its own special requirements for screening.

What should I use to stick pictures, posters etc to my painted walls?

I rent a flat and want to put picture etc up on the walls. What’s the best sticky stuff to use that won’t take the paint off the walls when i take it off. I tried blue tac but the paint comes off.
Thanks alot!

These glue dots work great. Won’t damage your posters or your paint.

Anyone know? It has him standing over Liston(who is not pictured in some posters), and it says Impossible is nothing. Does anyone know who the photgrapher is?

Neil Leifer of Sports Illustrated shot it.

Is there a store in brampton or mississauga that makes celebrity posters out of pictures?

I really need to know if there is any store in mississauga or brampton that makes big wall posters of celebrties if we give them a picture that is printed or saved on a USB.

photos off the internet are the property of the photographer and stores won’t do copies of published work that isn’t your own(physically taken by you). but i supposed it doesn’t hurt to ask.

PHOTOBUCKET Picture Posters …?

Posted by admin on February 24th, 2010 and filed under picture posters | 3 Comments »

For Pete’s sake, can we try to use something other than photobucket, PLEASE? Not user friendly w/ computers that block EVERYTHING! How about tinypic.com?

Now, you don’t HAVE to, but it’d be nice, to click on a picture link & actually be able to see it.

That’s all.

And don’t tell me to use a computer that doesn’t have webfilter, please … unfortunately, that’s all I’ve got right now. I’m at work, and the computer at home doesn’t work!
I’m not TELLING people to do anything. It was a question. A suggestion. Anyway, I know it’s not there fault, I was just asking … anyway, whatever. Just a thought people. Just a thought. It just annoys me.

And I use photobucket, too, but not associated w/ Y!A.

I just like photobucket, it’s so simple.

How much is it to blow up a picture to movie poster size?

Posted by admin on February 20th, 2010 and filed under picture posters | 1 Comment »

I’m redecorating my room and I want Paramore, Bob Marley, and Demi Lovato posters but everywhere I go they don’t have any or it’s a picture I don’t like.

Call Kinko’s and ask. They won’t do copyrighted stuff, though.

Why on the back of movie posters is there the same picture on the front except amirror image?

How do you scan large posters?

Posted by admin on February 14th, 2010 and filed under picture posters | 2 Comments »

Staples..?? Who scans and puts one of my many picture posters into cd’s and so on…

it is illegal to scan poster designs that have already been printed. If you designed these large posters yourself, best to go with a local printer. You can get posters printed in many ways. I’m not real sure what you are looking to do though, if you can elaborate on specifics, I can give you a better answer.
