Can you help me find a link to a specific motivational picture/poster?

Posted by admin on December 31st, 2009 and filed under picture posters | 1 Comment »

The picture is of a red rock canyon scene (probably Southern Utah or Colorado) with a stream/river running through it. The title was either "persistence" or "perseverance". The idea was that the water didn’t carve it’s way into the rock quickly, but through persistence/perseverance. I can’t find this poster anywhere.

this probably isn’t the one but it was worth a try

Why are some of my picturs oming out blurry?

Posted by admin on December 31st, 2009 and filed under picturs | 3 Comments »

I have had a canon powershot A460 camera for a few years now and it was great, no problems at all. Until a few days ago suddenly every picture or movie I took were blurry. Yet when I looked through pictures taken before that date they still look as crisp and as clear as ever! What is probably my problem and how can I fix it?!

If every single picture is now blurry, and it started on a specific date, it probably means it’s time for a new camera. Sounds like the focus mechanism has stopped working, or perhaps the lens got a tap and something is mis-aligned now. Clean the lens gently, and see if that helps, but the A460 is a couple of years old, (that’s like 84 in dog years) and was a simple P&S anyway. Not worth having it looked at, much less repaired. It would cost more to fix than to replace. The good news is consumer P&S cameras have improved even more since the A460 was new, in terms of features and shutter lag especially.

go to www.dpreview to read about new camera models. You would be perfectly safe to just buy a new Powershot in your price range with the features you want. Enjoy!

How long does it take to publish a picture book?

Posted by admin on December 31st, 2009 and filed under picture book | 2 Comments »

Well I am working on my first picture book. :) I was wondering how long I have to wait for the approval from the publisher. Anyways any tips will be much appreciated.

Publishing companies now have all the resources to publish picture books with the same productivity and efficacy as that of regular black and white books you see in physical bookstores. Considering the fact that most books are in full color, you should choose a publishing company whose book’s are of the highest quality, bar none.

If you are looking for self-publishing companies to publish your book, I know of a few companies that practically holds court to everything a book needs from getting you your copyright, size preferences, book cover design customization, layout consultation, copyediting and even marketing – at affordable costs.

Self-publishing entirely means that you get to retain full control of your book’s production and that it gives you the option to publish your work and claim authority of the photos that you have chosen to be published.

Good luck :)

What is a good Christmas picture pose for the family?

Posted by admin on December 31st, 2009 and filed under christmas picture | 2 Comments »

My family and me usally take a pic in front of the Christmas tree. But my mom wants a to do a different idea, and I really want to make her happy with the pic. Please help me with any ideas!! :~(

Why not take any photo, and then make it Christmas-y using the site http://www.mirbit.com ?

It’s totally free, and you can upload any photo and then add various festive items to it (decorative frames, objects, text, etc) and then print it as a traditional Christmas card or send it as an eCard (I did a combo of both!)

It’s fun, and guaranteed to be unique.

how do i change the color of a myspace picture comment im leaving some one?

Posted by admin on December 31st, 2009 and filed under picture of | 1 Comment »

im leaving a friend a comment on one of her pictures and i want to change the color of the text to purple, pink, or blue… how do i do this?

the only way to change the color of something in an image is to use image editing software to change the picture, and then host the new image somewhere, and then post that new picture in your friend’s comments… there isnt a "code" to do it if that’s what you are asking for

What is a good free picture editing service that would allow me to convert pictures to JPG?

Posted by admin on December 31st, 2009 and filed under free picture | 2 Comments »

I take a quite a few pictures on my webcam but the only way I can resize or edit them is with Paint, and that saves image files as .bmp, can anyone tell me a good free program that would allow me to convert these images to .jpg and maybe even add cool effects to my pictures? Thank you :]

-Note: I am running Windows ME so I can’t have anything that runs only on Windows XP or any mac computers.

Paint.net is a free program that is fairly decent and easy to use. There’s a forum for it too where people post plugins they’ve created for it.

I wouldn’t use it instead of photoshop or paint shop pro…but if I needed a free program, it would be my first pick.

How do I remove date from digital pictures?

Posted by admin on December 31st, 2009 and filed under pictures | 1 Comment »

I have jpg pictures of a boat that I want to sell, and the dates on the pictures from last fall detract from the otherwise nice pictures. Someone else took the jpg pictures, but I have a 1998 version of Paint Shop Pro and Adobe Photo Deluxe Home Edition 4. I want to keep the pictures in the jpg format. Also, I have a Windows XP computer that I bought about 9 months ago. Is there any simple way to edit the pictures, or will I have to retake pictures, which would be a moderate hassle?

You need to get a photo program like Paint SHop Pro and digitally remove the date with a touch up tool.
